About ArrowOS
This is a lightweight custom ROM option that offers a smooth and responsive experience, making it ideal for gaming on the Asus Max M2. It helps reduce lag and stuttering during gameplay, ensuring better overall performance.
Pros & Cons
Of course, every custom ROM has its own strengths and weaknesses, and these are often based on personal experience or preference. Here are some examples of the pros and cons based on my usage:
Pros :
1. Compact size — only 801MB
The ROM has a relatively small file size, making it easy to download and install without consuming much storage.
2. Fast boot time
The system starts up quickly, allowing you to get into your phone without long waiting periods.
3. Optimized for gamingThe ROM is designed to deliver smooth performance during gameplay, with minimal background processes and better system responsiveness.
Cons :
1. No pre-installed GApps
Due to its compact size, this ROM does not come with Google Apps (GApps) by default. It is a vanilla build, so you’ll need to flash GApps separately if you need them.
2. Basic UI with limited customization
The user interface is clean but quite plain. If visual appearance and theming are important to you, this ROM may not meet your expectations, as customization options are minimal.
3. Initial UI scaling issue
Upon first boot, the display elements may appear too large. You can fix this by adjusting the DPI under Settings → Display → Display Size. How to Install the Custom ROM on Asus Max M2 (X01AD / ZB633KL)
